This all started about two months ago when I wrote a post that was mildly critical of Kemal Ataturk on the Greek/Turk forum. Next thing I know, I'm blocked. And I stayed blocked for over a month. About 3 days ago I got back in, so I put on a post telling everyone what had happened to me and that I thought it was childish and asinine to block folks like that. Today, I'm blocked again.
I've had it with that site. Lunatic, or someone, is jerking anybody around who they: 1. Dont Like 2. Dont agree with 3. Whatever. It's amateurish and childish. Deal me out.
Please extend invitations to everybody there to join this site Mike created. We need to "vote with our feet". Screw Lunatic or whoever!

prett similar rules to lunny's except there will be more tolerance for things that might get a little off topic. best news is that mehran will administer this site and that is the best part of the site so he and a couple of others will make the decisions.

Swearing and insults aren't allowed, are they??
And when say off topic, you mean we can include cultural/political/economic topics, right???

Not just me, if everyone decide im a suitable candidate for the position then maybe. and with others of course.
Im sure there are thos emore suitable than I and the best thing of thi s forum is its toelrance which mike has provided.

I would rather that swearing and insults not be allowed..especially the family insults...My beef with the other forum is the locking of threads that were to Me good topics but weren't strictly military..like you said, cultural, political, nationalistic stuff shouldn't be locked.

mehran you hit the nail on the head.. more tolerance is the key...so many locking of threads due to 'off topic' reasons even when it was about histories and cultures.. that was getting so old in lunny's forum...

Yea the good thing for sure is that whoever locks threads and bans,will be speaking to the members.And Mike is a person who is friendly and doesnt ignore issues.Over here will be more communication with the members.We all know each other.Not like Lunatic who is acting like he is ignoring the world, like he is the ****en president of united states.He doesnt talk to no members? isnt that weird? He is too good for us?At least members wont be ignored, and this place will be more welcomed to nice debates.

You're welcome to haunt me, my friend. We differ VERY MUCH on issues, but I like your style.
As for what goes and what doesn't, I agree with the others that we use the WAAF as a BASELINE. But the heavy handed crap needs to end. Lunatic didn't know when to turn it off.
I'd propose that we have a little more toleration on language. If we say, for example "That weapon system isn't worth a ****!" thats ok. But if we say, "You're a real ****!" then it becomes personal and probably shouldn't be allowed. Thoughts?

i dont like foul language and i think
personal attacks using curses should
be repremanded, just to keep the forum
at a good level
