NFL Super Bowl predictions?

I know this isn't the "proper" forum to discuss sports, but what the hell.

AFC: Indianapolis vs. New England
--> Indy has a great offence when playing indoors or in nice weather. Quite simply, because it's going to be -30 Celcius with the wind chill for the rest of the week, I don't see Indianapolis winning in the cold weather. Plus, their defence sucks, New England is a solid overall team and Tom Brady right now is as good as Peyton Manning.

Winner: New England

NFC: Carolina vs. Philadelphia
--> Although Philadelphia has Donovan McNabb and...that's it, Carolina is another warm weather team and Philly seems to have a good rabbit's foot up their arse, combine that with cold weather and I believe Philly wins.

Super Bowl: because New England is the superior team IMHO, the will win it all.

On a side note, I think it's good the Miami Dolphins decided to keep Dave Wansteadt as head coach. Although the Dolphins choked, under his tenure the Dolphins went 10-6, so you cannot ask for much more than that. But since Marc Bulger had a breakout season, that makes Kurt Warner expendable. With good receivers, Dan Marino taking over as VP and Warner being similar to Marino is his prime, I can see Warner replacing Jay Fiedler as the no.1 QB.

I think its going to be the Pats & Eagles in the Supe as well, with the Pats winning. Since I'm from Philly I'd love to see the Eagles win it all, but they are mostly playing on heart at this point. They've had too many injuries this season.

New England

because Tom Brady is the best quarterback right now, and Vinatieri is the man.

Illiria,

Actually I would say Peyton Manning is the best QB right now. So far in the playoffs he's had one perfect game, and the other was near perfect. He's on fire right now, and quite frankly...scary.

Vinatieri is a good kicker, but I like David Akers better. IMO he's there's no better in the league.

I agree though the New England will probably go to, and win the Supe. They are the most well rounded team left in the Playoffs, even if the Offense can be a bit one-dimensional.

AKers???

Gyrene, he missed a 33 yarder last time,,,

Vinatieri is maybe the best kicker in the history of the sport,

he is money in the bank,

i couldnt go with Akers,

Manning is scary i know it, they have scored each drive last two games,

But i could put my money on Brady right now.

David Akers??? I would rather take Jeff Wilkins, Olindo Mare or Adam Viniteri over him.

It's true Peyton Manning is playing great right now, but Indy's defence sucks and they will be out in the cold. Also, Tom Brady isn't much worse right now.

What I find ironic, however, is the fact Tommy Maddox had similar regular season stats to Brady.

just before kickoff and I think new england loses in the snow where a running game is important......indianapolis has a good back who will carry the load. new england has a poor running game and passing in cold will be difficult for both teams. manning is bigger and has bigger hands than brady so he may have more success gripping in the elements..philly wins easily as does indianapolis.

2 weeks off gives philadelphia time to heal and beat indianapolis in the show.

Told u guys,

New England has an awsome team, the best quarterback, the best kicker, great overall offense and defense...

North Carolina did, Philly sucked anyway...

New England will get it again.

I must admit I was surprise Philly lost the way it did. 4 picks and a totally lethargic offence, it was like they just wanted to go home. But hey, the city of Philadelphia deserves its current sports rut. And I wish continued failure to the Flyers, Phillies, 76ers, as well as the Eagles. Ha!Ha!
