For now, China is militarily incapable of invading and holding the entirity of Taiwan... so the point is moot. It can reduce Taiwan to rubble... but what good that will do to anyone I cant imagine.
China isn't going to invade Taiwan now, or in the near future.

The RULE to treat Taiwanese is:
Kill them just like Kill chickens and dogs,
until they will never pronounce the word "independence" for 300 years.
====
IF I am the president of China, I will do:
1. Big Annocemnent:
Give Taiwan one week to hold Referendum:
Go direction Unification or go Indepence, let the taiwanese vote for their future.
If they don't vote, then I leave them alone lol
2. If Taiwan goes Referendum, and vote for unification,
OK, I don't bother you more, leave you alone again lol
3. If Taiwan vote for Independence, as long as the result is known, I will:
Throw 10 H-bombs 1000 KM East of Taiwan, and ask them to Surrender in 12 hours.
4. If They surrender, OK, let me send my Troops into Taiwan, then problem solved.
5. If they do NOT surrender in 12 hours, then I start Neutron-bombs attack in Southern Taiwan, at least 30 Neutron bombs. And give them another 12 hours to surrender.
6. If they now surrender, then OK, my troops in.
7. If they still don't surrender, then:
5 H-bombs into Southern Taiwan.
...
Untill they surrender or all of them slaughtered by me lol
No matter how strong the air defence system is, it is not possible to block any Nuke Attack lol
BTW, do u think taiwan will shoot down the Nukes on the Air of Taiwan so it will explode above taiwan and bring them to death?
Ha, then it is not my reponsibility of their death

One should not be so quick to assume China cannot invade Taiwan successfully. Do not assume the entire ROC military will fight for Chen Shuibian; if anything, they will turn against him.
That said, the PLA must be opportunistic. If fighting breaks out on the island then the PLA's 15th Airborne Army must work with pro-China elements of the Taiwan military to secure a port. Once a port is secured then bringing reinforcements would be relatively easy, depending on how much control the ROC military has. PLA marines would be reinforcing instead of doing both an amphibious landing and reinforcement.

But why destroy the entire island? It is much better is reclaim it relatively intact; why rebuild entire cities and industries? Furthermore, if you nuke the island then it become uninhabitable. And don't forget there are still many people living on the island that know they are Chinese.

Notice, I said the Nuke Attacks will be only launched against Sourth Taiwan, where the most seperatists come from, I have taken into account of Pro-Chinese Taiwanese, they are all men of course We will take care of them.

I still do not agree with your strategy. I share your dislike for the Taiwanese that sold out their ancestry, burned their family histories and claimed they are Japanese. In other words, people like Lee Tenghui and Chen Shuibian.
That said, I would NOT encourage using nuclear weapons against the southerners, even if more separatists live there. They can be taken care of by the full force of the PLA. Even if it costs more PLA soldiers' lives, it is far better to establish a strong base in the northern part of the island, then work your way down. The southerners could not defeat the full force of the PLA anyways, so why make the area uninhabitable when you could simply defeat and arrest the rebels?

Why make the area uninhabitable?
South Taiwan will not be uninhabitable at all after years, look at Japan, 2 Nuke Bombs, the japs live there now still happily like rats, don't they?
I don't care the Southern Taiwanese at all, I prefer to kill all of them, like Chinese saying: if you want to cut off the grass, you must cut off the complete roots of them.

that was because hundreds of thousands were disqualified from voting after the 'assasination attempt'...a bit too convenient dont you think? the Army was stopped from votibng after the 'assassination attempt'. this stopped traditionally pro-KMT voters from entering such as the army and civil service... now they are getting a recount. mr Chen is putting his career at stake, if they actually do recount and he loses that almost practically disqua;ifies him from voting, its a big gamble but with huge rewards
*China shall re-establish control over its long lost territories...*

The Republic of China based in Taiwan province has always considered itself the legitimate government of all of China, so yes, they have always considered "rejoining" China.

Taiwan is THINKING (just thinking) about break out from China, but they have no ball to do it in action, only mouth blow jobs, because they are scared of Chinese PLA evils lol
