Future Weaponary

What is everyone's Opinion on what the next step of Weaponary Advancements

What Would replace the M-16?

What would replace conventional Rounds such as a exploding casing with a full metal jacket tip?

Or Artillery Rounds or even Missiles...

Sounds like a weird post but there has to be something for advanced than what we poses now.

The H&K OICW is slated to equip the US Military in 2009.

IMO the tank is going to loss his role in future combat.
If today the tank is used for real fight, in the future it will use only for maintain the control over
territory(like today in iraq)

We will see more and more the use of long range platform.

True Dan...

That thing look sway to bulky as it was stated..

I am concerned on the weight... Close Quarter Combat im guessing would suck for it...

besides the point looks like the weapon from starship troopers

im looking at less humans, more robots in the field controlled by humans a few hundred miles away. ithink missiles will be used more. not BVR fighting anymore, now radars will be BVR...


btw whats HK OICW? never herd of it. any links and pictures? please?

True, Very True,

The only human presence there will be in a theatre of war is a Urban Environment

Cities will still be occupied by Human Soldiers,
