I have been in the Canadian Army since we wore the Olive drab uniforms for a long...long time
Now the Canadian government has finally introduced the new uniforms for the Canadian military. I have had my pair for over 2 years now.
The American Marine Corp has actually bought the rights and laws to create their own version of their uniforms... The Canadian Arid Pattern and the US Dessert Pattern (Even the woodland version are almost identical) We have been making this pattern since 1988 and it is supposed to be one of the most advanced patterns of camouflage yet.
Take a look! What a ripoff...
Now With the new pattern Canadians feel more proud. and US come and make us flow into the river of grey men. Canada wants to be seen not blend in with the typical US Soldier.
I feel Canada should have not let the Americans produce the pattern.
Any comments on the American Melting pot going international??
