Looks like the greek cypriot administration has NO friends.

The U.S. Administration did not want the Greek Cypriot Leader Tasos Papadopoulos who they described as “a liar” even to visit them.

U.S. officials told Hurriyet that Papadopoulos could not find anyone to talk to in Washington. A high-ranking U.S. official said that Papadopoulos had manipulated his nation before the April 24 referendum and told lies on the Annan Plan. He said that no one was eager to see Papadopoulos in Washington, “the attorney of Slobodan Milosevitch.”

Papadopoulos is to meet the Secretary General of UN Kofi Annan in New York on June 3. Annan is expected to issue his Cyprus report on June 2.

Turk newspapers love to quote "diplomatic sources" or "high ranking sources", but they never name them. Why? Either because the journalists pulled the information right out of their own azzes, or it's some flunky who's opinion isn't worth chit.

Washington is not happy Cyprus voted "No" on the referenda, but too bad. Thats democracy. And President Bush is REAL careful not to be too critical of Papadopoulos because he's scared to death 2 million Greek American voters will pull the lever for John Kerry this fall. Which they well could, because American Hellenes are not very happy with the Turk centric policy of the Neocon Zionists (Grossman, Wolfowitz, Feith, Pearle), two of which were paid lobbyists for the Turk government in past years.

But, I have a question for Mundine: if Turks have so much power with Washington, where are all these things that the US was going to do to help TRNC? So far, I've heard NOTHING except a few meaningless symbolic gestures. And thats all thats going to come out of this, because Bush won't dare piss the Greek Americans off in an election year!

Face it Mundine, and the rest of you Turks, there is NEVER going to be international recognition of TRNC or even a genuine improvement in their economy until they reunify with Cyprus. Thats their only salvation and no whining or threats by Kofi Annan or Colin Powell or Jack Straw is going to change that. Too bad, so sad. LOL.

E Tan, E Epi Tas!

Mundine

there is no greek member here that has posted anything bad about Turkey,

on the other hand even though with the absence of greek members except Landos you keep coming and bashing on them.

Your signature is offensive to the Greeks and i know it and also know the reason you have it. I let you have it because there arent many greeks here and Landos didnt seem to complain. There are alot of symbols from your country from where you could choose, and people, but you choosed something to provoke.

You have prooved us lately that, with your articles out of nowhere, to bash the neighbouring country.

I like debate and controversy.,

U are within the regulations but your signature isnt.

Please put anything else you want, Im sure Turkey has  alot of symbols ,the one you have is to stick it to the Greeks, so please remove it.

thank you in adnvance
