How far can the beam penetrate?

Wouldnt 1 round from a rifle break the mirror and destroy the beam?

Irrelevant weapon if you ask me

How can you hope to fire a weapon if encompassed by such a beam?

I'm sure the thing will be protected.

A couple of countries are "producing" this kind of High-Energy weapons, another sort of Laser Weapons.

Don't know if it will be banned in the future.

Soldiers are supposed to be able to take a certain amount of pain. As soon as the Gas came over the Hill in Ypres in WW1 ( FIrst battle in history to use chemical warfare) you didnt see the Canadians and British Run away. They stood their ground and won the fight.... IM sure if a little burning sensation on my body was happening i wouldnt run away and i would destroy such a weapon.

as i said again how far can the beam penetrate....that is the question of is effectiveness.

Nato, i agree with that statement but the pain produced by these things is a lot more intense than the burns caused by gases - which are a side effect to the main purpose, to kill the target - as these machines are specifically designed not to kill by producing an amount of pain so great it literally disables the target.
