Australian Minister of Defence Robert Hill to "Reuters": Several companies have expressed an interest in the tender.

The Australian Ministry of Defence today announced that it would publish a tender for establishing an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) squadron at the end of July. The tender is expected to be worth AUS$150 million, or US$106 million.
Australian Minister of Defence Robert Hill told "Reuters" that several companies had expressed an interest in the tender, including US, French, South African, and Israeli manufacturers.

Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT) plan to bid in the tender as part of a consortium with US companies.

The plan to establish an Australian Army UAV squadron is part of a AUS$50 billion rearmament program. Hill said the decision to establish the squadron was one of lessons of the US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The tender is expected to close in November 2004 and the winner will be announced in May 2005.

"Today Israel is the leading country in the UAV field, I hope they choos our UAV."

LOL, what a load of crap, Israel; can't even wipe it's nose with out U.S help, never mind being the leading country in UAV technology. The only thing that Israel leads the world is in terrorism, theft of land, murder, and torture.
I'd tell the Kangaroos to buy Iranian, Iran makes very advanced UAVs, and was actually the first country to weaponries its UAVs, in the 1980s war with Iraq when it installed RPG 7s on it’s UAVs. Take a look at some of the older UAVs Iran makes, even these older models beat any thing Israel “produces”:

U can be very good teacher.

Living in denial!!!
Israel UAV R better then those of the Americans(i am talking about the operational)
Most of the western countries in the world bought and buying Israelis UAV.

Unfortunately Iran can not enjoy this Israeli tech like other countries.

“I think we have to learn from U, the Iranians how to murder people, U can be very good teacher.”

LOL, that’s actually very funny, because during the time of the Shah, Iran used to send its interrogators to Israel, so to learn how to torture people! LOL, and that’s a fact.

Also, lets not forget that even the Americans are employing Israelis to teach them how to torture and kill people in Iraq!!

“Israel UAV R better then those of the Americans(i am talking about the operational)

LOL, yea right. Seeing as how every “Israeli made” weapon is at best a joint programme between the U.S and Israel, and at worst a blatant U.S transfer of technology to the Israelis, I really can’t see how anyone can say that these very same “Israeli made” UAVs are going to be better than what the U.S makes.
Also, lets not forget that every “Israeli made” weapon has nearly all of its components imported from the U.S!!

“Unfortunately Iran can not enjoy this Israeli tech like other countries.”

LOL, actually, seeing as how the Israelis had been selling all kinds of weapons to Iran during its war with Iraq, and how the Israelis would be prepared to sell their own mother for the right price, I would say that the above statement is totally false, its more like that Iran makes better equipment, and wouldn’t want to waste its money on “Israeli made” junk!
