I noticed so many yankee bashing on some of the threads(WAFF) and thought I'd dedicate this insignifcant post to the greatest country in the world. The government's fu-ked for sure, but does it affect your livelihood right now? No, it doesn't so people should stop b!tching,
Things I love about the US of A
1. The land
2. The people
3. The salary
4. The pop culture
5. The open mindedness(believe it or not and contrary to what people think, Americans are more open minded than Asians or Europeans)
6. The national character
7. The free refills
8. The opportunities
9. The nature of individualism among the people
10. The breakfast
11. and Southern California
Aside from the law being too strict on violence, Id say America is damn near perfect.
Europe and Asia are fun to visit and chill, but to live? I'll take America and its mighty dollars over those two continents.
This is politics

Ok, I can tell this is heading for a flame... but I wont lock it. IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE THIS THREAD LOCKED, conduct yourselves in a civilized and polite manner. Lets keep it clean
United We Stand.
"Now, while still pursuing the method of realising our overall strategic concept, I come to the crux of what I have travelled here to say. Neither the sure prevention of war, nor the continuous rise of world organisation will be gained without what I have called the fraternal association of the English-speaking peoples. This means a special relationship between the British Commonwealth and Empire and the United States. Thus, whatever happens, and thus only, shall we be secure ourselves and able to work together for the high and simple causes that are dear to us and bode no ill to any. Eventually there may come—I feel eventually there will come—the principle of common citizenship, but that we may be content to leave to destiny, whose outstretched arm many of us can already clearly see.

I would just like to point out that it really depends on how you define "greatest country." Because statistically speaking, the US gets outranked in most rankings, i.e. UN human development index; number of patents; health indicators (access and life expectancy); environment/quality of life; per capita income; and even press freedom.
But when all is said and done, the US is probably the most well-rounded country since it has innovative science, plenty of natural resources, high standards of living and the world's most powerful military.

No of course there are many very good people in The USA living and USA has made a lot of good inventions but normally the government of USA is trying to dominate the whole world and starts wars and plays tribes and nations against others just to make Profit from that Region or to become the Dominant power of that region. For example Africa where the Sia has made a lot of Coup D´Etat to bring dictators like Mobutu in Power or is supporting wars against civilians for the Diamond mines or to have a president that is more friendly to USA than to France. And last but not least the USA has the dark history that it has been built on the slavery and the Force Labour of The African People and the Genocide of the Indians. In my Oppiniong only the USA will be rehabilitate when there will be a Afro American president LOL.

America's legal policy on cannabis is a load of balls, so i could never live there long term. i intend to go there for a few months next year though, as part of my gap year.

If you saw Farenheit 911 and BELIEVED it,I feel very sorry for you.It is the most edited peice of trash ever called a documentary. There are half-truths,distortiuons and outright lies, not to mention the poorly edited/spliced/superimposed or otherwise " doctored " film....lol....and you found it enlightening?..lol

I don't have to see it.I saw how the " documentary " was made on FOX and MSNBC.They showed the REAL footage and then played the Moore footage, after he edited it of course. It was hilarious.I tell you what Micheal Moore is an idiot who has to lie and distort to make his POV.Quite sad really, even a few of my liberal friends saw it and agreed,it was crap.Of ourse, having seen his other film," Bowling for Columbine ",I should have known what to expect, more lies distortions and half-truths..plus the cleaver editing and splicing.
BTW,TYPE 98G,I wasn't trying to attack you personally or anything,I just don't like Micheal Moore. But I respect your opinion. After I re-read my first post,I felt like I kinda came across as an assh*le.Sorry if I came across like that.I sometimes type and watch TV at the same time and I don't quite get my thought out, like I intend to.
