so when will china take it on Taiwan ? China should pay off the opposition in Taiwan...No millitary action needed...Taian will be annexed voulntarily...Just like hong kong...

Hong Kong was a foreign protectorate while Taiwan wants their own state free from China......

First of all I wouldn't call it annexation, it is exactly as China has been saying, reunification.  The rest of the world knows Taiwan has always been a Chinese province, it's just the USA and Japan in particular that are meddling in Chinese internal affairs in order to try and keep China weak.

Secondly, a peaceful reunification is exactly what Beijing and all Chinese people prefer; why kill your own people and destroy things for nothing?

Thirdly, reunification will happen one way or another.  The problem is that Chen Shuibian and his pro-Japan collaborators know that their movement is almost dead and they are doing everything to try and salvidge their fledging movement.  They have faked assassination attempts, continue massive propaganda campaigns both internally and externally, and they even use crisis situations (i.e. SARS) to try and further their cause.

Even "free media" in the US was heavily censored during the Iraq war, and CBC was subject to lots of censorship during 1999 Kosovo, what's your point?  And if you ever watch Taiwan's news then you also can't tell me that is not subject to censorship, unless allowing only demonising reports against continental China is considered "free media."
