That depends, if someone
eats that bird I have no problem with its death, that is the way it is supposed to be. If the bird is
not eaten it should never have been killed, as little as possible of a prey animal should go to waste. If the prey is eaten it died a worthy death, a natural death.
As for 'fun', yes there is a thrill in it, unlike Kerry I hunt deer rather than waterfowl, with a rifle instead of a shotgun.
