The Stoner design that became the M-16. From the bakelite forward grip, I'd say it was one of the original prototypes. Note that it has no receiver cleaner, which was added after the initial fouling problems occurred in Vietnam. Also note the early 20 round clip, that was later replaced by the 30 round banana clip. M-16 A1's had a nylonite forward grip of triangular shape and a barrel of larger diameter than the prototypes. As I mentioned, a receiver cleaner was added to the right side of the gun to assist in jams.

Some shoddy foreign copy of the M-16? Whatever it is it looks like crap in that imitation woodgrain finish...
