Just wondering who's here and who's been emailed so we can contact as many old members as possible, just a quick heads up will do and who you've emailed.

So far I've only mailed RobL and May18, I'll see if I can find any more.

Edit - just found jesse04 and Koz4k from another forum.

At this very moment I am VERY glad that Mike had a dispute with Lunatic over the WAFF over a year and decided to build this forum. If he had not, then we would not have this alternative forum to be in right now. Thanks Mike, it's great that we have this place.

from what I gather, the entire resource might have to be built from scratch.. no restoration of threads, nothing.. everything would have to be built from the ground up and the owner would have to request the forum be restored.. I have read threads in the administrators forum where network 54 forum owners ask for help when they accidently delete their forums and the answer seems to always be: you'll have to create the forum all over again.

- Well Mike, let us wait for the response from Network54 and see how this restore can be made!

- When we cross that bridge, then we will deal with it; until then, focus to get the membership email ..... so we can preserves the community.

- Network54 login is across the board; once you sign up with Network54, then you can rom all their forum ...... unless a particular forum is member only or require you to belong to a group. In general, the forum are "pubic read", but "member write only" forum. So, you can read the forum; and I gather, Mike have set GMF as public write forum ..... therefore you are able to read and write into GMF.

- Good you find your way to GMF; when or if we able to restore WAFF, then we may migrate back to it!

Another way we can recover more members is, submit GMF to search engines as Worlds Armed Forces. So when they search for WAFF they might come across this forum.

- That is a sound suggestion; but for now, we might be able to restore WAFF in one full batch ..... so we may not be needed to use Google for search redirection. Good thinking, either case!

LOL, what is this?

People are worried about me being lost on the internet? :) I've known about this forum since the beggining and I've been a regular visitor here since then... I've also been in close contact with Mike to discuss many issues concerning GMF and WAFF, especially the recent merger. This forum is the first place I went to after I found out WAFF was shut down, and I didn't need anyone holding my hand :)

Okay, sorry about the rant, I don't know why I'm reacting so sensitively to this, but I'm also glad to know that some people actually care about me :) Thanks KJ, and others.

Anyone know Steve's address? I have his old one, but I think he changed it to a Gmail account.

Luckily I still have a shortcut to GMF, so I try to find out what is going on with WAFF.

Anyway , I have posted the link to this place in PhillipinesAFF, two Singapore's Military Nuts forums to inform them abt this place.

I'm here. Strange. Why would anyone delete a forum? Is Faz the owner? Or does Lunatic still have some power over it?

I Just found this forum. Never posted much on WAFF, but was ticked
when I saw It was deleted. Hope they can resurrect it. It had to much character to just rebuild.

Sorry for being late, I was there in the dying seconds of WAFF, and I came to the GMF thanks to Lee. But anyway, the rakshak reporting for duty.
