Well lets face it, if irish airspace was breached they would't be scrambling the jets (lol, they havn't got any, not that they need it) and as far as military aircraft are concered the the irish air corp isn't europes premiere air force!
How does Ireland defened its airspace? and does it have any cool aircraft i.e.

KA-60
Apache longbow

i may come on a little strong but Ireland can defened its own skys!
And where do you get the british defened irish airspace?! If they entered irish airspace that would cause alot of a big brake down in dipolmacy between are to nations! and its not as if Ireland is not equiped with anti-ar Sh!t the Artillery has an air defence branch!
If you do not agree talk to Bannerman hes in the irish defence forces!
Besides that we dont need them to defend our skies simply, we've taken on worst
in our history I.E
defeted the british empire and got indepence for Ireland!

Maxie calm down

let me give you an example of what I am talking about, my Grandfather was Irish most of the population of the UK has some Irish ancestry we are allies, friends and in a lot of cases family.

And yes the UK would defend Irish airspace if it was needed, the Republic is the only country we share a land border with and we would not allow it to be attacked by any third party.

calm down son, the RAF is the the air defence for Ireland, they didn't ask to do it, they were forced to by the lack of a commitment from our Gov to give us fighter's, their to blame here for the situation
