Finally Sebastian listens to Alicia and Luis. Petra vouches that it's the truth. Sebastian is
ecstatic but he wants to hear the truth from Emilia about what she's done. He won't let
her know that HE knows.
Emilia and Antonieta are plotting how to win Seb over. Ant says she's got to get
pregnant. If he's principled, he'll marry her.
Lupe asks Panchito who Carmelo's father was. He'd like to resolve the matter so that
Carmelo can calm down. Ruffina says he's Flora's son, but how about Antonieta? He
thinks she could be the real mother.
Carmelo goes to DF with Macario and they check into a very fancy hotel. He says he
might as well get used to the finer things since he will soon inherit all the Mendoza
money. Lupe will pay for not acknowledging him. Now he's going to get Catalina, her
family will back him.
Catalina is helping Nicolasa clear the table over Adela's protestations. Rico retires for a
nap and Adela invites Gus to "nap" also. Gus says she's a little witch but he lovers her.
Nicolasa asks him about Petra. She says she's her cousin. He tells her that she went
back to her village but will be returning shortly.
Ruffina questions Petra about her trip to DF. She claims she had to get some tests
done. Ruffi says they were worried about her and that all heck broke lose when Carmelo
told Lupe he was his son. Now Lupe's trying to find out who his real parents are. Ruffi
asks if it isn't Antonieta. Petra says no, but Ruffi says she doesn't believe her.
Sebastian sees Petra and asks her to come with him to see his father and tell him the
whole story. She goes with him and tells Lupe the truth. Lupe says he doesn't want to
see Seb fooled again, but Petra says why would she lie? It's true she heard the whole
thing. Lupe tells Seb to take it slow. Seb says he first wants to make emilia confess she
made Lalo confess.
Petra tells Alicia she's staying in the village for a few days and to take care of the letter
she gave her. Lots of people would like to have it. After she leaves Alicia confieds to
Luis that the letter is mystery--from SEbastian's mother to Don Lupe.
Lupe tells Panchito he can't decide if Cat is lying again. Panchita says he believes Cat
loves him. He's got to let him find his love. They discuss Carmelo again and it's going to
be hard to find his father since his mother is dead. Maybe it's in Matilde's letter. Maybe
it's better off that those secrets reamain hidden.
Carmelo is going to see Catalina and cleaned up and is wearing a suit, sans hat.
Macario says he should get Lupe to include him in the will without knowing it. Maybe he
should be trying to get the hacienda away from Seb, that would hurt him more than Cat.
Carmelo says he'll have both, the money and Catalina.
Seb goes to see Emilia. He says he needs her. Will she go with him to DF? She says
yes. She's ecstatic because up until now she's always been the one to seek him out.
Antonieta says to make the most of the opportunity. It's a perfect time to become more
involved.
Sebastian's very happy preparing to leave. He's going to prove she loves him. He knew
there was something strange about the letter. He feels bad having to trap Emilia but she
deserves it. Lupe says he's hard headed but he wishes him happiness.
Carmelo goes to Catalinas. Adela says he looks nice in a suit. Is ther any news about
Seb and the PH? No, he's not a man of his word so don't count on it.Catalina comes in
and Adela leaves them alone. He declares his love for her and asks her to marry him.
She says absolutely not. He tries to grab her and kiss her by force.

Catalina throws out Carmelo.
Sebastian takes Emilia into the city and she's sickened when she sees he's pulled up to
Eduardo and Sylvia's apartment. She doesn't want to go in but he forces her. When they
get there Seb confronts Sylvia and Eduardo about the truth. Did Emilia have something
to do with Cat breaking up with him? They tell him it's true, Emilia was blackmailing Cat.
She really does love him. Seb says he never wants to see Emilia again.
Emilia and Carmelo decide to join forces to break up Cat and Seb.
That night there's a serenade outside the penthouse. The family is wondering who it
could be. Adela and Rico are sure it's Carmelo. Cat gets a pitcher of cold water, opens
the door throws it and soaks Sebastian. She runs into his arms and they embrace.
