If you can make a joke so can i

by

My joke is about the book Bix's Trumpet and the father of the alcoholic who won Bix's "trumpet" in (this time a little change)a card (not crap) game.

He won the trumpet in a card game with Ben Pollack.
The father had won all of Pollack's money playing 5 card draw and Ben had nothing left to wager.
"Wait a minute, what about that trumpet hanging on the wall? That trumpet belonged to the great Bix Beiderbecke and is worth a fortune."

So the father put down his chips and Pollack called him with the "trumpet".
The father won the hand with a pair of kings and claimed the trumpet.
Pollack was bluffing as usual.
After the father left with his winnings Pollack could be heard to say to the bartender ,"Hey Joe, can you go down to the pawn shop before work tomorrow and get me another beat up trumpet for $5.I need another 'Bix trumpet' to hang on the wall."

Then enter Linda.
I had this to say to Ben Pollack after i saw the cards from the card game still on the table:
"Mr. Pollack, would you take $5 for that king of hearts on the table?I really like that deck of cards. Where did you get that deck of cards?"
