Also Harry Goldfield who played trumpet with Whiteman during Bix's time was with Garber around 1926. He did the infamous vocal on "How Could Red Riding Hood" which was issued on Victor 20322. A few weeks after release complaints about the lyrics (apparently it was implied that Little Red Riding Hood was not so virtuous) caused Victor to withdraw this issue and release something else under that catalogue number.

I think the original recording can be found on Dismuke's site - if not I downloaded it from there some time ago and can send it up for posting.

Oddly enough other versions of "How Could Red Riding Hood" were not withdrawn - most notably by Jay C. Flippen and also by various Harry Reser groups. The only copy I have found is by the Royal Troubadours on the Radiex label.
