If you really want to be grossed out at an over dub, listen to what they have done to Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. There are cd's out on the market called "Remixed and ReImagined" of these two artists. I did not buy these but I did manage to listen to the Billie Holiday---about 30 seconds of each track and was horrified. Another misguided attempt to make the music "up to date for a younger audience". Next we will be painting over the Mona Lisa to bring it up to date. Another abomination is this guy who Turner Classic Movies is documenting(they generally run this short clip late at night). I don't remember the name, but he rescores movies adding new "contempory" music to a film to "bring it up to date for a younger audience". This is from the station that says they don't cut a films. They say they won't "paste and cut" a film to fit on a tv screen yet they seem to say its ok to change the music.
