Quealey's playing close to Nichols and unknown musician using a Bix like squeezed note

I think Chelsea Quealey's playing on Play It, Red by the Little Ramblers is very close to Red Nichols. Another recording he sounds a lot like Nichols on is Stockholm Stomp by the California Ramblers for Columbia. On that one he sure can fool me that the solo is by Red Nichols. On some of these recordings I think it takes a real expert like Steve Hester to be able to tell the difference. Quealey is close to the tone of Red Nichols and can play very much in Nichols style on Play It, Red.
Sometimes musicians can use something in a solo that can be identifed as a kind of signature another musician uses. Some can try to imitate the tone or the phrasing or us some little mannerism or another musician. I am bringing this up because there is an unknown musician on the Vic Price Orchestra recording of I'm More Than Satisfied who uses a little mannerism I identify as sort of a "squeezed note" I have heard Bix play in his solos. After the kazoo solo there is a cornet or trumpet solo and at 2:48 he plays a squeezed note or phrase that very much reminds me of Bix. Tim had this recording on a reel to reel tape as possible Bix items. The recording is from a poor condition 78 that even skips but it is the only copy collectors could locate at the time. Here is a link to hear it:
