The question came up whether or not Charlie Davis had accurate recollections about his early days. That answer may be obtained from a book I have and others here might be interested in. It is "That Band From Indiana" by Charlie Davis. Copyright 1982 by Charlie Davis and published by Mathom Publishing Company. This is a very detailed book about his career in his own words. I am sure those who read the book could check to see if his recollections in the book are accurate. Also I am sure with these days of amazon.com the book is very easy to find. In fact there are 3 now on Amazon from only $6.74!:
