In "Swing, Swing, Swing, The Life and Times of Benny Goodman," Ross Firestone offers the following commentary about the Clarinetitis recording session.

A hypothesis is advanced for the idea that "Clarinetitis" and "That's A Plenty" had been recorded earlier. Comments? Does Benny sound dated in "Clarinetitis" and "That's A Plenty"?

What surprises me is the statement about Connor being sure that the recording had been made during the visit to Chicago with Lanin. I thought Connor favored the 1927 date.
