BG Recording Date of June 6, 1930

by

Has it ever been substantiated (or disproved) that it was Bix who was the cornetist on this Benny Goodman recording date? (Also from this session: "Deep Harlem" and "Strut Miss Lizzie".) Rust says Bix was present. Lord's and Connor added the proviso "...no one can state with certainty the identity of the cornetist on this session". Has more information surfaced in the last 25 years or so? I did a search of the Forum archives and didn't see much relating to this.

This example from the session:
"Loved One"
Irving Mills and His Hotsy Totsy Gang, June 6, 1930

The same Trumbauer composition with a different name: "I Like That" and this IS with Bix:
Frankie Trumbauer and His Orchestra April 30, 1929
