Well, what's your reaction, Chris? Do you think that this story has to do with Bix in some way? The article suggests that the impact of poisoned alcohol peaked well before Bix's death, and that the people most affected by it were drinkers with less money than Bix. It also seems to imply -- but maybe I'll have to read it again to be sure -- that the deaths weren't gradual. People didn't die because the poison screwed up their immune systems and they caught pneumonia; they died because they were poisoned.
Still, it's an interesting story. And a sad one, too.
