Thanks to the generosity of Rob, here is a scan of the label.
Buffalo Rhythm" was recorded by several bands.
Jack Hylton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxo8cDjMAQs Influenced by Whiteman, no? Get a load of the last four notes in this recording and compare with the first four notes of Bix's coda in "I'm Coming Virginia." Bix and Tram's recording is from May 13, 1927. Hylton recorded "Buffalo Rhythm" twice, first on Sep 29, 1927 (rejected) and then on Oct 24, 1927 (issued on HMV B-5379). Enough time differential for Hylton to have been familiar with Bix and Tram's recording. Coincidence or "inspiration"?

Ted Wallace http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkhgu1Ub59U The late Veniero insisted that Ted Wallace's recording session of Sep 12, 1927 (Cornfed, Buffalo Rhythm and Zulu Wail) included Bix in the solos. We argued a lot about this. My response was Bixian, yes, but not Bix.
