That made me grin, because as a kid, I remember sinking into a hypnotic reverie while gazing at our Christmas tree lights, so many times -- almost always with our Firestone Songs of Christmas albums playing in the background. (People of a certain age will remember those 1960's records from their childhoods. They were quite classy, featuring the top opera stars of the day -- and I made sure to replicate my parents' collection as an adult after moving from Cleveland to Pittsburgh, as Firestone Christmas albums were a-plenty in the sale bins at Jerry's Used Records. . . . )
