What a sad sight the ramshackle Gennett building makes, when considering the many historic jazz sides by the various Bands that were created within. I assume the building is now long demolished.
When freight trains ran on the track alongside the warehouse where the Gennett records were made, according to the Pictorial History of Jazz, "all recording activity paused".
