Too bad Vince and his Nighthawks won't be at Davenport this year. The "Battle of the Bands" in 2011, with Vince as Fletcher Henderson and Josh Duffee as Jean Goldkette was probably the best, most intense musical experience I've ever had. The Gold Room of the Hotel Blackhawk was hot, humid and jam-packed with people who love this music - unforgettable. Thanks to those who posted video of it on YouTube so it can be revisited.
