I've read this Gasenzer and Neugebauer study several times and have it in my bibliography. Bagatti, the author of the puffed-up MUSIC AND MEDICINE you posted above (no discredit to you), takes half his work from their study. Their report is better than the Bagatti piece. Unfortunately, these authors are missing a number of valuable sources and they should have done a better job of cross-checking. There are many mistakes, some caused by language difficulties and others of a more serious nature.
Of course, I've benefited from what earlier authors have written. While I'm not a doctor, I do make a strong effort to see where contradictions exist and things don't add up. I'm surprised by how many of these doctor-authors simply repeat errors made by others.
