I just received my complimentary copy of the DVD ....

by Albert Haim

"Vince Giordano - There's A Future In The Past."

I saw the film on July 10, 2016 at the 92 Y. It was the premiere in New York City. It is a fantastic film, brings out dramatically the Story of Vince's Herculean efforts to preserve and perform the music of the 1920s and 1930s.
The DVD is a must for fans of OKOM. I remind you that Vince studied with Bill Challis, one of Bix Beiderbecke's friends and collaborators.
The DVD is available in amazon and in Vince's website. Run, don't walk, and get it!!

One of my sons was home last evening and we watched "Vince Giordano - There's A Future In The Past." I enjoyed it more than the first time around.
My son made two important comments, me thinks.
- What Vince has done is heroic.
- One of the best documentaries I have ever seen. One remarkable aspect: it leaves the Future open.
