Albert, do you remember in that conversation when we were discussing the possible location of the photograph in question ? I had mentioned then that it looked like George Johnson, the unidentified young lady, and Bix all appeared to be sitting on a cannon of some sort, and that this might be the best clue we had to work with in identifying where the photo was taken. Well, I have been browsing through the 1922 Northwestern University yearbook, the Syllabus, this evening by way of archive.org and I have found a photo that is of great interest ! On page 137 of the Liberal Arts section showing "Familiar Faculty Faces" there is a photo labeled "Evans" directly in the center. Take a look and see what you think, because I think it's possible this is what Bix and his friends are sitting on in the photo. Of course, I cannot say for sure, but I can certainly imagine it being a popular location for student photos of that time, and it IS part of the 1922 yearbook ! In my heart, I truly believe this is where it may have been taken !
