...but by 1932 it had lost almost all its audience. Red had to hit the road for two years with good but distinctly conventional bands, making a minimum of recordings. By 1935 he was back in New York as a conductor on the Kellogg's radio show. It was late in the 30s before he began a new swing outfit, more dixieland flavored than anything.
