"During the 1920s and 30s, Maurie Sherman was a well-known leader of a Chicago band who appeared often at the College Inn of the Hotel Sherman (no relation). Maurie gained much popularity via his frequent remote radio broadcasts, both local and network. His 1933 band included Jack Gardner, Rosy McHargue and Joe Rushton. The Crystal Ball Room on Bass Lake was a source of musical entertainment for much of Starke County as well as Chicago up until it became a roller rink."

According to Charles Sengstock, Maurie had been a violinist for Isham Jones. Sherman also played in the College Inn.

Astonishingly. Maurie Sherman is not listed in Rust's discographies nor in Lord's nor in the 78 online disco!!. Listen to this and explain to me why Sherman is not listed. Listed in the 78 rpm online disco as by Owen Fallon.

Maurie had his own bus:

Trumbauer, Sherman and two others composed "Red Hot." Is this Maurie Sherman?
