I call your attention to the interesting book,

That Toddlin' Town: Chicago's White Dance Bands and Orchestras, 1900-1950 by Charles A. Sengstock.

There are references to Paul Whiteman, Charley Straight, Muggsy Spanier, one mention of Jimmy McPartland, etc. But not a single mention of Bix or of Bix's Wolverines. Don't you find this surprising?

Sue, you know Mr. Sengstock. Did you ever ask him why he did not include a single mention of Bix in his book?
