I think the 1927 date in the Jazz Oracle CD for the Paris recording is a typo. In the text of the liner notes the date is given as 1928.

The British Phototone record is a synchronized single-sided disc. The synchronization is for a three minute film. It is different than the recording uploaded by Enrico and Nick; also different than the two versions in my WBIX program. It does not have a trombone solo. The version uploaded by Enrico and Nick is very similar to the second version I played in the WBIX progra. The key difference is that in the WBIX program version, Spencer Clark's solo is a piece of "National Emblem March."
