      I prefer Tram and Hoagy, too, but Seger sounds like a basso profundo compared to Wes Vaughn or Austin Young!

      Laura, you may have missed it, but there was a strand fairly recently about "Bless You, Sister" and "Dusky Stevedore" in which it was suggested that Bix & other recruits may have made up that quartet on the latter (since the hired singers didn't show) and perhaps joined the chorus on the former as well. We can assume that he could sing on pitch and find a harmonizing note in any vocal line, so why not Bix singing about about movin' freight?
