      Phil kindly writes and points out that the interviewer of Jess Stacy cited in my previous post was himself, and that the interview took place on Bix's 87th birthday, March 10, 1990. Phil adds,

      A point that I raised then and continue to be struck by now is that there was only a slim window of opportunity for Tesch to mourn Bix as Teschemacher, himself, died 207 days after Bix.

      I am awed and somewhat comforted given the two tragic young deaths that Jess Stacy was with Frank Teschemacher as they jointly learned that Bix Beiderbecke had died.
