Full disclosure. I\\\'m a 19-year-old guy who\\\'s never had a steady gf (i.e. 6 mos+). But with the ones I did have, sooner or later periods came into play, meaning I had to deal with the fact that she had them and oviously wouldn\\\'t be in the mood.
Now I\\\'m not naive. I know *physically* what happens during \\\"that time of the month.\\\" But I guess I\\\'m trying to understand it from a mental/emotional point of view. I once tried to ask a girl what it \\\"feels\\\" like for her. She didn\\\'t freak out, but she got really shy and ended up changing the subject.
I grew up with a couple of sisters. And even though this sort of thing wasn\\\'t exactly discussed, I knew from conversations I overheard that they couldn\\\'t wait to \\\"start.\\\" Then once they did, they seemed to hate it. I must admit I\\\'m confused by that. Is it a good thing, or isn\\\'t it?
I\\\'m not altogether sure what the topical limits of this forum are, and I\\\'ll understand totally if this post is unfit and deleted. But we\\\'re all (18+) adults here, right? I\\\'ve seen the stuff that gets discussed on the other forums, so I don\\\'t think I\\\'m completely out of the mainstream.

Given I have been with a lot of woman - friends included and this subject does come up - out in the open - Women differ so much in how they handle and feel about their periods.
PMS can be MEAN and Nasty and it goes away - Just Friday a friend asked me if I was still mad at her? I said I knew it was only PMS and I never hold that against any woman.
So I think what you have run into was shyness because that is common with younger girls. One surprising thing is to discover that just prior to a womans period they can get very horny.
Also and not everyone is up to this - I have no problems making love to a girl on her period- but some women get cramps and they do not feel like it and others are happy to have a willing partner. Can be a little more complicated.
These days periods are very much an open subject. Not at all like Masturbation except I do have a few women friends that are directly open about doing that and I do mean friends NOT GF's
Alright frankly i never look forward to my period i actually really dread it
But i dont get PMS at least i dont think so i act very normal but i do tend to get a little cranky from all the pain that comes with Cramping AS for Doing it while on my period NOT GONNA HAPPEN
