Defense

Try installing the 6-2
DE's and ILB's should be best FB smart + best tacklers. (Best all around players)

Youth Defense

You should have a defense that is easy to execute. Personally, I like a 5 man front, with 3 inside linebackers; one directly behind the noseguard, and one in each of the B gaps. The Mike linebacker will tap the noseguard on each play and he will blitz opposite of the tap. The noseguard will shoot thru the tapped side. This creates havic up the middle. Because the center and the 2 offensive gaurds do not know whos coming. At this age, if an offensive lineman does not know who to block, they typically will not block anyone. Also, the cornerbacks are parallel with the linebacker and stay home. The ends are outside shoulder of the offensive ends and defensive tackles are on the outside shoulder of the offensive tackles. I personally run 4 blitz packages off of this defense. good luck
