Response to Re: I hadda.....
That's my descriptive term for voting in these local races...
Instead of doing something that actually does nothing, but has a positive effect nonetheless, voting in the local elections often seems to me to be more like doing something which is supposed to have a positive effect, but which actually does nothing.
I think it's because the lowest level at which political activity can have any meaningful effect in the Soviet Socialist Republik of New York is at the state gov't level, and the mental defectives gathering semi-regularly at the capital in Albany are either too stupid to operate so much as a flush toilet, let alone the machinery of the state, or are so utterly and absolutely criminally corrupt that they should be dragged immediately to a post protruding from a generous heap of kindling, lashed to it and burned alive !
Down at the county, city & town level - short of New Jack City, maybe, which is a cancer all it's own - it's just a case of "junior" dipshits who are unable to do as much damage both because of their proportionally lesser provinces of action, and the fact that they all have to rely on some amount of the money they use for anything coming back from being stolen from SSRNY's "citizen-inmates" in the form of "state aid".
