Response to Was the rifle really that crappy ?
On a range, at a known distance, level against a non moving target. Not the same situation oswald faced. I think the head shot proves that he wasnt shooting all that well himself.
Most likely he was shooting center mass, and the head shot was high rather than the target. But we dont know.
a 3-5 incch spread at 100 yards is pure crap. An accurate rifle will do 1 inch or less at that range.I think a kentuckey riflke will do as well as that in fact.
Note also in the wiki article, either we had the keystone FBI investigating, or the sights where very flawed. Either the rifle was in good shape when they found it, and they then fucked it up, or it wasin basdd shape and Osy would have been doing good to hit the car. Most likely the dallas dunderheads fucked it up, but dont want to admit it. Still it leaves open that bit of doubt that so many conspiracys hinge on.
As for the film times, they seem to say whatever the person doing the investigation wants them to. However you cant change bullet paths. Fire from the grassy knoll just doesnt have anywhere to go that doesnt leave evedince of its passage, unless they fly over the target.
Which still leaves me wondering, what the hell was Connely looking at?
