My dad's family worshipped at the Lyndora Ukranian Orthodox Church. Very cool place with Gregorian chanting and stuff. A real change from the Catholic service in that it seemed very mystical as a kid.
Oh, and they made absolute, dead flat, killer pierogies there too! Spent lots of evenings in the church hall too. Wedding and funeral receptions you know. Both were the same except they had a band at the weddings.
My Uncle Pete got me snockered there for the first time and my Aunt Sonia launched me into a wall with some kind of Whirling Dervish polka move.
Come to think of it........that happened soon after I was waylaid by Uncle Pete!
