Picked up the following at a local "3 bucks a bag" book sale:

A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century by Barbara W. Tuchman
The March of Folly: From Troy To Vietnam also by Barbara W. Tuchman
(I've already read her work The Proud Tower , about social conditions in Europe prior to WW1, which was a pretty good read.
Lenin's Tomb: The Last Days of the Soviet Empire by David Remnick
The Age of Agony: The Art of Healing 1700-1800 by Guy Williams
Road to War: America 1914-1917 by Walter Mills
Published in 1935. Hoping it'll be an interesting perpective
Germany and the Ottoman Empire 1914-1918 by Ulrich Trumpener
Meeting at Potsdam by Charles L. Mee, Jr.
I Can't Forget: Personal Experiences of a War Correspondent in France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Spain and England by Robert J. Casey
Published in 1941. I wonder what month...
American Vignettes: A Collection of Footnotes To History by John I. White
The Response To Industrialism: 1885-1914 by Samuel P. Hays
Dispatches by Michael Herr
A collection of articles by a Vietnam War correspondent for Esquire magazine.
The Scottish Nation: A History 1700-2000 by T. M. Devine
War Day by Whitley Strieber and James Kunetka
A fictional account of 2 journalists' investigative trek across the USA five years after a nuclear war postulated to have occurred on October 18, 1988. Published in 1984.
Last but not least, a 2008 edition of the Oxford English Dictionary - a nice, big, fat hardcover edition like I've always wanted. Needs a bit of repair to the spine, but glue I got, and a Complete Rhyming Dictionary, which I threw in the bag just 'cos I had room.
LoL
