Agreed. While the battle lasted only 25 minutes from the first US artillery salvo to the last musket volley, the skirmishing continued for several hours, as US Artillery and riflemen continued to blaze away at targets of opportunity. Some 500 British POW's and wounded were collected and brought safely behind the American lines during this time. SOme 1,500 British India Pattern Brown Bess muskets, rifles and accoutrements were also collected from the battlefield. By the end of the battle, Jackson's troops were better armed than they were before the battle.
