The Progressive Movement dates back to Theodore Roosevelt and even before. The one constant that remains is for their adherants of these beliefs to stomp on and disregard the amendments of the US Constitution wherever and whenever possible, to disregard election results and enact legislation from the judicial bench, to ignore the will of the majority, while gradually leading this nation towards a one world government. That process has already been drastically wratcheted-up during these past 100 days by the upcoming destruction of our currency, the radical policy changes in the direction of our government and the completely manufactured saving and loan crises debaucle and subsequent "bailouts". This is nothing short than the destruction of free market capitalism and the forced imposition of socialist policies that historically never work.
As a result, I see the patriotic actions of the aforementioned states confirming this to me, as they are attempting to short circuit the ham-handed over-reaching actions of the Federal Government.
Republicans and Democrats are no longer "Right and Left". Before and after Bush left office, the actions of both parties indicated that they were and are both leaning decidedly to the hard Left. For my money, the time has come for more true Libertarians and other strong Constitutionalists to be elected to the US Congress, not to mention, to other high offices across the land and to hell with the people who would destroy our Constitution, our legal system, our liberty, our way of life and our country. |
