      If they "grow up" faster, they'll just grow up dumber, lacking the common sense to realize that all the marketing and advertising claiming that owning a bunch of crap equals happiness and fulfillment is just a bunch of bullshit.

      Back when we were kids, it was enough to just get us to wheedle money out of our parents to buy us whatever shit was the "latest & greatest". Nowadays the goal seems to be to make 'em into "full grown" morons ASAP.

      No doubt it's all the "onerous regulations" imposed by "big government" which forces the corporate world to resort to these tactics... ...if only we'd free them from these vile restraints, why it's an absolute certainty that they'd become the altruistic and responsible organizations they're just dying to be !
