At 335 PM...the temperature at the Buffalo Airport reached 59
degrees. This exceeds the previous record for the date of 58 set in
1971. The temperature will likely go even higher.

And...1.21 inches of rain has fallen at the Buffalo Airport today.
This breaks the previous precipitation record for December 27 of
1.02 inches set back in 1956.

Temps have dropped 25° in the past hour, winds are blowing 40-50mph, with gusts up to 65+mph.

I just spent a joyous interval repairing the end of my carport which faces into the wind - who knew it might try to make like a wing and commence to flappin' ?

Nothin' like crouching on the roof in winds strong enough to send you over the edge !

The good news is there was no damage beyond about a 1-inch crack right where the end meets the house itself. I'll have to figure out a fix for that later.

Just saw some volunteer firemen start hacking up a big willow tree which fell across the local main road & is blocking it like a sabotage job.

Guess the balminess was fun while it lasted !

And everything else...
Be careful up on the roof like that, in the wind...
Hate to have the volunteer firemen cleaning you up...
