Glad to hear you found some old picys of your grandfather! My mom recently sent me some old photos of her side of the family dating back to the 1930's and 40's. Nothing finer than seeing pictures of your grand parents and great-grand parents when they were still in their youth and had their best days ahead of them.

Funny... ...I just recently went looking for my mom's parents' house in the city. Damned if it hadn't been demolished.

I only remember seeing him once. He was already bedfast at the time. That remains one of my oldest, if not my oldest, childhood memories.

One photo is dated 1939 and the other has no date but appears to be older than that.

I have one shot of my paternal grandmother, another "baba," who also passed when I was just a nipper. I do remember seeing here alive, but not frequently.
