I watched a couple of episodes of the Ken Burns effort. Not bad at all and done in his usual format of highlighting the experiences of a few folks woven into the fabric of the big picture.
Some of the images are surprisingly graphic and up close. That is impressive as it may give some folk an understanding of the true nature of war that the more sanitized or long distance images of the real carnage of war do not.
I don't hold out much hope that those images will make some of us a little more aware of the reality of combat, but you never know.
