The Last King of Scotland

This movie will remind you of Idi Amin Dada ..a self appointed president of Uganda in 1971 when president Obete was on a commonwealth mission in Singapore ..most of you through history might have know Idia Amin as a dictator ...

His bibliography shows that his rank in the army was genuine ..an elite figure and highest military position ever held by a back man in Ugandan ..apart from military he was a lightweight boxing champion from 1951 to 1960.

The movie however is about a Scottish doctor Dr. Garringan(James McAvoy) on a Ugandan medical mission becomes irreversibly entangled with one of the world's most barbaric figures: Idi Amin (Forest Whitaker). Impressed by Dr. Garrigan's brazen attitude in a moment of crisis, the newly self-appointed Ugandan President Amin hand picks him as his personal physician and closest confidante. Though Garrigan is at first flattered and fascinated by his new position, he soon awakens to Amin's savagery - and his own complicity in it. Horror and betrayal ensue as Garrigan tries to right his wrongs and escape Uganda alive.

NB: The rescue mission by Israel in 98 minutes of the 100 Jews hostage by Idi Amin also show the world how powerful Israel came to gain recognition. During the Rescue Mission the only casualty was the leader of the rescue mission and two injured hostage. This was also a message to Terrorist grp from Israel "DONT mess with us" ...

Ecellent Movie ..Rated R
