...some new submissives to the lifestyle, rather than desiring to submit, merely wish to put responsibility in another's lap. When they hear of the exchange between a Dominant and submissive, they immediately assume that means "any thing that goes wrong is the Dom/me's fault" and that they no longer have to worry about responsibility.
Sometimes such submissives learn what they truly want, learn to know themselves first and others later, and become strong and beautiful, a submissive to be proud of, who can say yes or no but still do it respectfully and submissively.
Some submissives end up with "master" after "master" playing their time away, never understanding why their relationships don't hold up.
Regardless of what happens, a trait of all such when they are first come to the lifestyle is to be anything their partner wants - for two reasons. First, the submissive doesn't KNOW herself - and as such, doesn't know if she meets your compatibility, and doesn't know how to express her own needs and desires, up to and including saying no to a Dominant. Second, the submissive is so hung up on "being with a partner" - having a Master, Wearing someone's name, having a collar, take your pick - that he or she will be ANYTHING just to be in a couple...rather than working hard, getting to know someone and saying "you know, there is a lot of electricity here, but you aren't what I want and need. Let's just be friends, or flirt buddies, or occasional play partners, but I need to keep looking."
Just my opinion - worth what you paid for it.
